Some videos of H, or things he created at the Science Museum. Elementary started school 2 days later than Junior High, so he got a trip with mom to the museum.

Busy Weekend
It was a busy weekend here. This top picture is of him holding his Valentine box that he made for 4H meeting and for the Valentine party at school this week. It is a Pokeball. I will I will be telling about how I made it on my blog tomorrow.
Here's a collection of pictures of him at the Science Museum of Minnesota. The kids have some different interest so I went with him to explore while his sister went with their dad. Then we joined up to watch a couple of shows and go see an omnifest movie.
This next picture is from the Saint Paul Winter Carnival. It's pretty neat to see what they can make out of ice.
This is Henry's table at our 4-H meeting working on their science experiment. Each table had a different liquid to test and see what it would do to M&Ms and Skittles.
And this picture is of him dissecting a heart and by dissecting a heart I mean he completely destroyed this guy was hard. This was his first class at Shattuck Saint Mary's. They offer these monthly science classes. He is technically a little young for it yet but I know the teacher and she had said he was fine to take it.
This I just had to share as well. I think there was a couple more pictures I took that he was moving too much and his face was blurred but I was trying so hard to get a picture and he just kept being a goofball.

Videos from the Children's Museum of La Crosse
This is just kind of weird to watch this first one, but we had so much fun playing this this toy at the museum.
This is a video of his very first doing a rock wall with a harness and belay. I didn't record the 2nd time which he did get all the way to the top. He did very well and was super proud of himself for learning how to climb a rock wall this summer.

Reg & Slow Mo Video of Shooting a Basket
They didn't actually have a basketball hoop there, just some X against a padded wall to indictate where to shoot towards or throw towards or kick or whatever. He had done one earlier with dad that was throwing a baseball, but I wasn't there to see it and they only keep so many videos at a time and then they get deleted so by time sister & I got over there it was gone. So, this is the second one he did.
They thought this exhibit was pretty cool.

Children's Museum of Southern MN
We recently went on a field trip to the Children's Museum of Southern MN with our school ECFE and preschool program. Henry was pretty excited because he got to ride the bus for this field trip.
Last time we were at this museum was when I was carrying him in the Snugli, so it's been a long time and there has been much improvement and it is much bigger. We had a lot of fun and we are going to have to go back again soon with sister.
This little owl was a favorite of his. He has a similar owl at home that is a FAVORITE and I wouldn't let him bring it along, but when he found this one there he had to carry it around with him.
Again with the owl! Here he is climbing on the foam blocks and pretending he is Spiderman scaling the wall. He's pretty in to Superman right now. Daddy recently showed him some old original Batman shows and he goes in to a trance.
This is Henry with his friend Ava. She & her mom came along with us (plus a lot of other people.)

MN Children's Museum
I think the Habitot room was his favorite and I felt best about him being in there since they can't just walk out and everything is at their level. That room is for ages 4 & under.
This slide is in the Habitot room as well. He can get in some good crawling, climbing & sliding in this room. He likes all the other rooms too, it's just harder to keep an eye on him when he's so short and fast.
I need to say he is short instead of small because he got mad at me the other day and told me he was big. He wants to be big, not small. Short seems to be acceptable (for now.)
Of course the room with water & bubbles is always a huge hit.
This was in the Storyland exhibit. They boy wouldn't slow down enough for me to get a decent picture of him in here. His favorite part of this exhibit was walking over the "snow" from A Snowy Day and putting the letters up the coconut tree for Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.

Playing in the water.
This "factory" always cracks me up watching the kids work so hard to get the blocks through their part of the assembly line and have no idea that they are moving the same blocks over & over. This was in the Storyland exhibit. State School Orphanage Museum
Henry didn't get very much out of this except to see how much trouble he could get in to and if he could give daddy some more gray hairs
