45 Weeks Old
Henry has been pushing his walk-behind walker all over the place. He cruises along all the furniture. He crawls up the stairs very well. It's just a matter of time before he is walking on his own.We took these picture at Mineral Springs Park. We met some friends there for an impromtu playdate and picnic lunch. Henry loves to go to the park and swing & slide.

44 Weeks

I am trying out some new scrapbooking software I downloaded. So, we'll see how it works.
Today I took the kids to the library for return/pickup books and also for a playdate. We have access to two wonderful libraries in the towns surrounding us. They both have toys for kids to play with, so it makes a great place to have a playdate. Henry remind me of Isabel at this age, pulling books off the shelves and throwing them on the floor like that's his job.

He has become such a good crawler and is really working on his walking skills. The picture of him playing with water in the sink is our new thing because he gets so incredible messy at meal time that it is easier to just put him by the sink & let him try to grab the stream as I wash his hands, face & clothes.Saturday, July 31, 2010

38 Weeks
Ok - finally getting around to posting this weeks picture.
He is happy here, but the past few days have been lots of crying, tears, pain, drool, clinginess, altered sleep patterns, not eating much & fevers as he toughs it through teething. He pushed through his right lateral incisor last week and now it looks like he might be working on the top central teeth. They are so swollen and red. He won't let me in his mouth to see what's going on. Poor guy. We did try ibuprofen with him and it works for him (Isabel & I can't take it, at least as an infant Isabel couldn't take it - it made her puke). For Henry it helps lower his fever where acetominophen was not and it has the bonus of lasting twice as long.
This is Henry today at the MOA. We had to change our plans and come back home earlier than we planned because he was having a meltdown. Poor boy was so tired & uncomfortable. Luckily, his sister was very understanding and wasn't too heartbroken. After a 2.5 hour nap at home he seemed a bit better and we went swimming for an hour, we had some near meltdowns but we were able to quickly distract him from it.Monday, July 12, 2010

35 Weeks
Well, he is in the same outfit as last week's weekly picture, but I suppose that is bound to happen when you are spending a lot of time in a swimsuit. Although, after I made the collage I noticed I used the same collage background.Well, the past week Henry has been working on his da-da-da-das,which he says in a higher pitch. He has been babbling a lot. He also is working on gross motor skills and is working on trying to get on all fours and has been wanting to walk holding our hands a lot more.
Last week he was working on fine motor skills and using his pinchers.
He has also been working on his sense of humor. He thinks it is hilarious if he grabs your hair or glasses, which he knows he shouldn't. He might be a little troublemaker.

34 Weeks Old
I took the kids to River Springs Waterpark and we had a blast. Isabel loved when I tossled Henry's hair. She said he looks like a rockstar. It's a good thing Henry is free to the waterpark, because all it's amenities are lost on him. All he wants to do is stand along the side and watch the water go in the drain and play with his ball.Friday, June 18, 2010

Today wa a play-at-home-all-day day. We tried out pudding painting with Henry. I made some vanilla pudding & added food coloring and we went outside. I didn't dare try this in his highchair because he is a messier child with food that his sister was. He shared the "paints" with his sister and the both had a lot of fun.Afterward, we got the watertable out that Henry received for Christmas. Both kids loved it. It is great practice on standing and moving along the side of something for Henry.

This week I took the kids swimming twice and they both had so much fun. The kiddie pool is great for Henry to stand in and play with toys along the side and move along the edge to get more toys, plus he does a good job walking to me when I hold his fingers since he is a little more bouyant.
Henry has been trying lots of new foods lately, including strawberries, zucchini, mandarin oranges, & egg yolks. He doesn't care to eat much baby cereal or pureed food anymore. Even though he doesn't have any teeth, he does a good job mashing. I would say about 60% of what he eats now is table food cut up into small pieces. Although I try to make sure he has some baby cereal at one meal so that he is getting enough iron, since they claim that after 6 months they don't get enough iron in breastmilk.
He has started repeating "mamamama" when he is sad & wants to be picked up just like his sister did before. He is doing this pretty much at the same time as she did. I keep wondering if he will teeth at the same time as her, which is coming up soon if he does.

Playing Catch-up With Pictures
Gosh, I have been really good about uploading the pictures & making collages and putting a few on FB, but there are always so many other that are going on the blogs that aren'y goin on FB, plus there is the pressure to put in text, so it gets delayed and then I am a week behind. Oh well, now you can see them. The "Weeks" picture I usually get in the slide show that day or within a day, so you can always watch that to see it if I don't have it in a post yet.

Henry was more into the dog (which is the mascot of the company sponsoring the musical.) You can see that when Cinderella was holding him he wanted to look at the dog.

Here's my happy boy. People have a hard time believing that he ever cries, which he doesn't do too much. He's generally pretty content & happy and if he is troubled he usually will do some whining. Although, with separation anxiety starting in he will cry if he wants to be held by mom.He was such a trooper the past few days while we were all over the place for sister's birthday festivities.
Today he got his next round of the Pc and HIB vaccines.
Next weekend is his baptism.

26 Weeks
This picture was taken on Friday when he turned 26 weeks (& 6mo.) I took it when we were outside planting with our friends for our belated Earth Day party.
Two days before he turned 6 months he rolled from back to front & then did it again the next day (Th), but now we haven't seen it since. He is balancing on his legs a lot now, but if he stops holding them his legs just turn to jello and he will just tumble right down.
He is starting to eat lots of non-baby food. So far we have given him some graham crackers (LOVES these), some rice, some piece of hot dog bun, canned peached chopped & some saltines.
He is still getting up twice a night and I am exhausted. Last night I only had to stay in 5 minutes because he wasn't hungry & just was lonely. So I rocked him and he went to sleep right away and I could leave, but his second waking he was hungry and nursed on both sides for quite a while.
