Okee Dokee Brother Concert

 I took Henry to the Okee Dokee concert (after they just won a Grammy for best kids album) at Toddler Tuesday at the Mall of America. We met his friends Lilliana and Emmalin there.

 We all had lunch at Crave after the concert and then I took Henry on a few rides at Nickelodeon Universe. We did this the 2nd Tuesday in February.

Nickelodeon Universe

 We took the kids up to the MOA on Saturday night of President's Day weekend....boy was that ever a MISTAKE! We did our basic plan which was to have dinner and take the kids to Legoland (Henry) and American Girl Store (sister) to spend the money they had from the past 2 Christmas's and their last birthday, and go on a ride. Well, it was supposed to be rideS, but after waiting in line for 30 minutes with Henry for this Rugrats bumper cars ride and having him last a minute before he broke down in tears and was shaking and wailing (I had to tell a frazzled worker she HAD to stop the ride to let him off)....well, let's just say that we were done (I bought points passes, so they don't expire). We (Henry & I) actually had been there on Tuesday and he went on a half dozen rides that day and had fun. He had never been on this one before.

Not sure if it was being there on a weekend or a holiday weekend that made the difference, but I don't think we will go on a weekend again for a very long time.

Nickelodeon Universe

 I LOVE this picture. This ride with Henry just completely made my day. The whole time on this rollar coaster he was ooohing and had his arms up and was laughing. He thought it was the best thing ever. He has been on this one before, but not for about 5 months and this is the first he was like this.

These were taken on Friday. Sister had the day off school because it was a teacher workday. So, we went to Henry's ECFE class (won't do that again because she was bored out her gourd) and then headed to the MOA where we had lunch at Noodles & Co, then went to Legoland, then on a half dozen rides (they sure are expensive, but I wanted to do something special that day), then some shopping and finally dessert at the American Girl Bistro (pics from that will be on the Green blog in a few weeks for a Wordless Wednesday post.)

 This ride remains their favorite one. They did this one twice. Then there were a couple others and the swing ride that I went on with them and we all pretty much agreed we were quite dizzy after that and done with rides (less we want to feel worse.)

Nickelodeon Universe

A couple week ago, I took Henry on the Carousel at Nickelodeon Universe and he loved it. I knew we were going to have to take him on rides with us for Isabel's birthday. He was good about only going on a few rides. He was also to go on Ghost Blasters, the Carousel & the Diego ride (can't remember the name of it).

When we cam back to NU after lunch, he was pretty tuckered out and fell asleep for 20 minutes in his stroller while his sister went on more rides.
