2nd Grade Christmas Concert

So, another concert in the books. Try not to laugh too hard when you watch the first video. He had light shining right in his eyes and he looks like he is having a seizure or something. I was surprised he wasn't in the back row. It definitely did NOT seem to be arranged by height when in the past 2 years when it was a different music teacher.

There were some people with fat heads in the way of my taping. Ugh. So I had to be this close or it would block out half the kids. He is still blinking a lot, but not quite as dramatic as the 1st song.

And then in this last one you can't even see him since they combined 2nd & 3rd grades, so I guess you can just listen to it if you want or not....Whatevs.....

Playing "Frog in the Middle"

Playing "Frog in the Middle" on the keyboard, a song he recently learned from his weekly piano lesson

Original Song by H

I don't think I shared this on here yet. Here is a video of Henry singing an original song he created. He did this on his own (when she should have been sleeping). He started doing weekly piano lessons this school year and I will have to share his original composition on the keyboard soon too. I just need to record him playing that.

1st grade Spring concert

Just some pictures from Henry's first grade spring concert he knew all the words to everything but is feeling a lot more self-conscious and shy these days.
As you can see I have no Smiles in the picture when he is up on stage, bus miles came when I took his picture by himself afterwards.
We got one more use out of this little dress up vest set but I think it will have to be retired now. He wore it last year for the spring concert and this year. He is growing like a weed and growing out of a lot of stuff.
You can view the concerts online at Owatonnalive.com.

Mother's Day Song

Henry wrote out a Mothers Day song for me and sang it to me. He did a fantastic job on this.

Videos from Spring Kindergarten Concert

Pictures from Kindergarten Spring Concert

Tall boy in the back row! That's where he will probably always be! He held his smile the entire time I was up there taking pictures of him.

This is just his classroom, there are 3 kindergarten classrooms.

How sinkin' cute! Love this kid and glad he let me dress him up like a little man!

The entire kindergarten class -- all 3 classrooms of kids.

With his friend Ian. Ian decided a couple of weeks ago that Henry was his best buddy and tells me that every time I go into volunteer now. It warms my heart to see Ian run to him in phy ed (when I volunteer in there) when they are told to find a partner. They really wanted a picture together. They haven't had a playdate together yet, but we will soon!

The theme for the year for the elementary school this year is OLYMPIAN.

Henry and his friend Daniel pretending to play instruments. Henry is on the guitar and Daniel is playing a trumpet. Lol! Such silly boys. They have been having weekly play dates now for almost 2 months. I am very happy Henry has started to make friends.

He is VERY slow to warm up to people to decide if he actually likes them and can trust them. Henry doesn't like big groups or having lots of friends like his sister does. He just wants a couple quality friends and I am glad he is finally finding them. He will have had 3 playdates this week with 3 different boys (after tomorrow), one of them being Daniel. He has become very observant of how other people are and whether or not they are genuine. It caused him ( & this worrysome mom too ) lots of sadness and anxiety earlier this year when he thought no one liked him and he had no friends. He is a good kid who just wants to be liked and do a good job and make people happy and proud.

Okee Dokee Brother Concert

I took Henry to the Okee Dokee concert (after they just won a Grammy for best kids album) at Toddler Tuesday at the Mall of America. We met his friends Lilliana and Emmalin there.
We all had lunch at Crave after the concert and then I took Henry on a few rides at Nickelodeon Universe. We did this the 2nd Tuesday in February.
