Videos from Last Hockey Practice

They split the kids up in to 4 groups, this is Henry's group which consists of the very beginner level that are not as adept on their skates yet. He started the sessions not really sure about the classes, but he ended up loving it. This was the first time this Learn to Skate program was offered in Frbo, so I think they have kinks to work out, especially with this very beginner level. Not really exciting videos, but they are short glimpses of him skating and having lessons.

10 Minutes of Play Video

Sister wanted to record brother playing. And now you can watch them. Quite the kids.

Kinda dark......it is what it is.....maybe next time I will have them plan out a play to video tape rather than random'y asking to video themselves

First Day of Preschool

The sun was shining in his eyes, so he didn't want to open them, so this is what I got.

Then he wanted to be silly and only have one eye open. By golly, he got it. Never actually saw him wink correctly at me before.

Time to make the trek in from the parking lot. He could ride the bus with sister, but I don't think any of us is ready for that. We'll see.

I had told him I was going to take a picture of him outside up in front of the school and in his classroom and so he thought he would be smarter than me and asked me to take a picture of him outside by the barriers. When I was done he told me now I didn't need to take a picture of him outside the school so that everyone won't be looking at him. He is terrified of getting too much attention, but I told him, "Nice try buddy, but I am still taking your picture in front of school. You just gave me an extra one."

Again, kinda a sunny spot so it was hard to get him to look at me.

1st Day of 3 year old preschool. It went well even though he said he didn't want to go. He goes on Tu & Th mornings. Today he finished his 3rd day and it did not go as well as the other two. Makes my apprehension about sending him rise. Gonna give it this month to try it out and talk with daddy about things. Might just be mommy's issue that I need to get over or deal with. He is quite different than his sister.

Here he is annoyed because I requested he look at the camera when I take his picture. Ok, all done taking pictures.

MN Renaissance Festival

Some pictures of Henry from the MN Renaissance Festival. There will be more pictures on sister's blog and also tomorrow on my Wordless Wednesday on SGBG.

Edinborough Park

As I mentioned in a previous post, we went to Edinborough Park with some friends that had spring break last week. I will have a Wordless Wednesday with some pictures, but these are the ones I did not use.

Henry had been to this park twice when Isabel was much younger and home with me. One time he was only a couple months old and I think the other time he was about 6 or 7 months old. We had not been back since, so this was really his first experience there. He had a lot of fun and of course all the boys fell asleep in the van on the way back.

RBNC - 2nd time in 1 week

So, these are all the pictures from when we went last Saturday to RBNC with sister. There were only 3 days between visits, but so much snow had melted between then. On this trip we spent most of our time down by the river. Both kids were happy, Henry could throw rocks and sister could look for interesting rocks to keep. Such different kids.

I love this picture of the two of them.

River Bend a Week Ago

Last Wednesday we went hiking at River Bend with some friends. It really is one of our favorite places to go. This top picture we were looking at some of the fossils they had there.

Here is Henry with our friends (their school at spring break, so I was totally taking advantage of friend availability last week and them wanting to do something fun for their kids during the break.)

Our week looked like this:
Monday - swimming @ AmericInn Pool & Pizza Ranch Lunch (sister had spring break that day so our family went with another family from our town)
Tuesday - Edinborough Park with Ben, Tyler & Cole
Wednesday - Gymnastics class then 2 1/2 hours hiking at RBNC with Gavin & Amelia
Thursday - Kids Class at the History Center then an indoor picnic & playdate with Ben, Tyler & Cole
Friday - ECFE class
Saturday - Hiking at RBNC again with sister and then a sleepover with Gavin & Amelia & sister
Sunday - Easter Round #2

You can't tell from this picture, but we were letting an almost 7 year old guide up, which took up up the side of an large icy hill. It was quite an accomplishment that we all made it up there in one piece.

You can see the rest of the pictures I took from this hiking trip on my Wordless Wednesday.

Children's Museum of Southern MN

We recently went on a field trip to the Children's Museum of Southern MN with our school ECFE and preschool program. Henry was pretty excited because he got to ride the bus for this field trip.

Last time we were at this museum was when I was carrying him in the Snugli, so it's been a long time and there has been much improvement and it is much bigger. We had a lot of fun and we are going to have to go back again soon with sister.

This little owl was a favorite of his. He has a similar owl at home that is a FAVORITE and I wouldn't let him bring it along, but when he found this one there he had to carry it around with him.

Again with the owl! Here he is climbing on the foam blocks and pretending he is Spiderman scaling the wall. He's pretty in to Superman right now. Daddy recently showed him some old original Batman shows and he goes in to a trance.

This is Henry with his friend Ava. She & her mom came along with us (plus a lot of other people.)

Great Serengeti Waterpark

Just extra couple pictures of Henry from the waterpark visit in February, the rest will be in an upcoming Wordless Wednesday on Save Green Being Green.

RAD Zoo with a Friend

Henry had a playdate with his friend Ava at the RAD Zoo about a week and a half ago. While we were there we got to see a baby tortoise hatch out of an egg, so cool!

MN Zoo Trip

Our first ride on the tram was pretty neat, even if we did have to wait a long time to go on the ride. It moves a lot slower than you would expect.
I am playing catch-up today on the kids blogs.....the computer I had been uploading all my pictures on was being funky (still is, but it's working ok right now) so I couldn't get at them. So, I am way behind on pictures for stuff so now you get a bunch to look at.

Anyways, these are pictures from our family trip to the MN Zoo on Presidents' Day.

Henry was most excited to see the sharks and was talking about it the whole morning until we got there to see them.

Okee Dokee Brother Concert

I took Henry to the Okee Dokee concert (after they just won a Grammy for best kids album) at Toddler Tuesday at the Mall of America. We met his friends Lilliana and Emmalin there.
We all had lunch at Crave after the concert and then I took Henry on a few rides at Nickelodeon Universe. We did this the 2nd Tuesday in February.
