8 Months Old

Henry is 8 months old today. I have not taken his measurements, so you have that to look forward too. He is such an amazing little boy and I love him so much.

Fun for Henry

On Tuesday, I took the kids to the Mall of America for Toddler Tuesday where we saw a sample show of Willy Wonka put on by Stages Theatre. We also went to Legoland, Butterfly Bay & ate at Chipotle. In the afternoon we met some of Henry's friends from his baby playgroup at the pool to swim this afternoon.

Yesterday morning was spent at home and his sister had storytime with him, then singing time to which she told him "Henry! It's singing time! Not growling time!" and finally dancing time.

That afternoon we went to Straight River Park to see Underwater Adventures. It was a library summer program that was brought to out community.

Fun Stuff

The other day we went to Target to buy Isabel some goggles for swimming and we left with a couple of weapons as well.

Henry was able to try out some of the fun perks for kids at Cashwise grocery store which included riding the penny horse, which he was able to do with his sister holding him on there with her, and a free cookie from the bakery. It was his first cookie and he was certainly enjoying that.

34 Weeks Old

I took the kids to River Springs Waterpark and we had a blast. Isabel loved when I tossled Henry's hair. She said he looks like a rockstar. It's a good thing Henry is free to the waterpark, because all it's amenities are lost on him. All he wants to do is stand along the side and watch the water go in the drain and play with his ball.

Snacks

Here is Henry eating some snacks on Saturday. He is so messy with his graham crackers. I has such a clean stroller with Isabel. Not anymore. Plus, check out how he has figured out he wants to drink from his sippy cup. He chooses the path with the least amount of work (he really is becoming more & more his father's son - I love you dear!) You can see a side view of it that I took tonight when he was eating supper while Isabel has her sports class.

Today he tried some saltines, ritz crackers, muenster cheese & cottage cheese. All were a hit, especially the cheeses. But who can blame him, cheese is yummy!

33 Weeks Old

Today wa a play-at-home-all-day day. We tried out pudding painting with Henry. I made some vanilla pudding & added food coloring and we went outside. I didn't dare try this in his highchair because he is a messier child with food that his sister was. He shared the "paints" with his sister and the both had a lot of fun.

Afterward, we got the watertable out that Henry received for Christmas. Both kids loved it. It is great practice on standing and moving along the side of something for Henry.

This week I took the kids swimming twice and they both had so much fun. The kiddie pool is great for Henry to stand in and play with toys along the side and move along the edge to get more toys, plus he does a good job walking to me when I hold his fingers since he is a little more bouyant.
Henry has been trying lots of new foods lately, including strawberries, zucchini, mandarin oranges, & egg yolks. He doesn't care to eat much baby cereal or pureed food anymore. Even though he doesn't have any teeth, he does a good job mashing. I would say about 60% of what he eats now is table food cut up into small pieces. Although I try to make sure he has some baby cereal at one meal so that he is getting enough iron, since they claim that after 6 months they don't get enough iron in breastmilk.
He has started repeating "mamamama" when he is sad & wants to be picked up just like his sister did before. He is doing this pretty much at the same time as she did. I keep wondering if he will teeth at the same time as her, which is coming up soon if he does.

Playing Catch-up With Pictures

Gosh, I have been really good about uploading the pictures & making collages and putting a few on FB, but there are always so many other that are going on the blogs that aren'y goin on FB, plus there is the pressure to put in text, so it gets delayed and then I am a week behind. Oh well, now you can see them.

The "Weeks" picture I usually get in the slide show that day or within a day, so you can always watch that to see it if I don't have it in a post yet.

Henry was more into the dog (which is the mascot of the company sponsoring the musical.) You can see that when Cinderella was holding him he wanted to look at the dog.

This is the shirt I made him for Easter. His sister thinks I need to make one for daddy for Father's Day so they can match & so daddy can be handsome like Henry. Don't worry daddy, I won't make you one.

This is Henry on a playdate with his friend Leighton & his mom Melanie. We met them in our Baby & Me class and have 2-3 playdates with them a week. Plus some members from our Baby & Me class formed a baby playgroup and get together weekly (same day as our clas was), so we see them at that too.

Comments to come

Since there was so many pictures, there will be comments/txts to follow later. Haven't decided if I will just type up one long NEW post or comment on each post/picture. Stay tuned.
