14 Weeks

Well, we're going with the one with just me. I do have a picture of big sister Isabel holding my stomach, but her bedhead from a side angle was so funny looking that I just couldn't post that. The bedhead on her blog isn't nearly so bad.

So, am I showing yet? What do people think?

Heartbeat & Gender

Well, I had an appt this morning with my doctor. Today we got the hear the heartbeat. Isabel was with me and daddy was on speaker phone. The heartbeat is about 150 beats per minute, which is the same as Isabel's was.

My weight remained the same from 4 weeks ago, which is good that I didn't lose anymore. But that's because food is staying down more and I have been able to eat a wider range of food. I a still down 2.5 pounds from where I started, but that was exactly where I was with Isabel at my 12 week appt. (even though tomorrow I am at 14 weeks with this baby.) It was interesting to see that my blood pressure was EXACTLY the same this time too. I would think she just copied my vital stats from one to the next if my pulse wasn't different.

My next appt. will be when I am 17.5 weeks along. We will be doing the quad screen (bloodwork) and that has to be done before 18 weeks. And a couple weeks after that we will do another ultrasound and at that point we will find out the sex of the baby.

But so far, I am predicting another girl. Many things have been very similar as far as the pregnancy goes. And they say if the heartbeat is over 140 it is girl and if it's under it's a boy. The Chinese Birth Chart says the child is a girl too. Isabel says we are having a girl, but she also says she wants a sister, so her prediction might be wishful thinking. I guess we'll have to wait 6 more weeks to see what the ultrasound says.

13 Weeks

Well, I thought I would try to take a picture every week from week 12 until the end. I was thinking I would put a slideshow up at the top. It would be fun to see the progression.

Nothing new to report. I had some better days no puking, but some nausea), but then had some bad days again that included A LOT of nausea & puking. Today, so far, seems to be a better day. Let's hope it stays that way.

12 Weeks

Ok - I know when you look at the picture you might say you can't really tell that I am 12 weeks pregnant, but you can tell more when you see the baby bump in person. I didn't even bother with a picture this early with Isabel because the baby bump wasn't there really. It sure is with te 2nd pregnancy.

Ok - People are starting to know

We told my sisters & brother this weekend. So, now I am just telling people as it comes up. No more keeping it a secret. Plus, I've got the telltale baby bump started. It really does come out faster with the second child than with the first.

I went through my maternity clothes to see just what I have for summer. I have a friend who offered to borrow me some, so hopefully I am covered. Since Isabel was an end of May baby, I only had a couple pairs of shorts & tank tops and a couple of capris. So, hopefully my friend will have a few more of each for me and I will fill in with some t-shirts. And I am hoping to borrow another swimsuit from someone. I have one, but we are getting a membership to the pool this summer and it's only 4 blocks away, so we hope to be there often and my one suit may not dry in between visits.

Still feeling sick & puking. Bah! I'm 12 weeks tomorrow. I am hoping that things settle more by the end of the month when I fly to Philly to visit a friend, but I have to be honest, I am nervous about still having all-day sickness and being in an airport & on a plane. Guess I'll figure it out.
