It's Official.

I went to the doctor to take a pee test and briefly met with the doctor. It's annoying that I still have to take a pee test in their office after I had 3 positive ones at home, but I understand why they do it.

Anyways, I didn't learn anything new. The confirmed October 28th as a due date & I'll be 5 weeks tomorrow. The doc suggested waiting until after 8 weeks to tell people or up to 12 weeks if we can.

I'll have another appointment in 4-6 weeks (which I will be 9-11 weeks along) and we will hopefully hear a heartbeat.

The doctor asked Isabel is she was ready to be a big sister and her response was a very soft & concerned sounding, "Noooooo." I told Isabel we had plenty of time to get ready for that.

We're Pregnant!

I took another pregnancy test yesterday to make sure. And we are pregnant. Apparently, I didn't allow enough time for the results to show on the earlier ones and just threw them in the trash, but after reading some article about one of the most common mistakes people make in reading a pregnancy test is looking at it too early or too late......well, when I looked at them there was no line in the pregnancy spot but I think I wasn't allowing enough time, but after I read the article I fished them out of my trash and here's what I saw:
* Day Period was Due -- no lines (not pregnant)
* 1 Day Late -- very faint line (pregnant)
* 2 Days Late -- a distinct line (pregnant)

But of course, seeing them at that time would be considered "too late", so on

* 3 Days Late & a Different Test -- a plus sign in both spots (pregnant)

And now it's 4 days late and 3 positive tests. We're saying we're pregnant.

We're not telling people yet. I am not sure when we plan to do this. According to Isabel's blog we waited a week to tell people.

The baby will be due October 28th, which make me laugh because that is my niece Jayden's birthday and Isabel was due to be born on my sister Steph's birthday (Jayden's mommy) but was born a day early. So, I am predicting an October 27th delivery.

I'll get pictures of the pregnancy tests up here soon. I had them on Bel's blog right away. At this point I plan to keep 2 separate blogs and I don't know if/when I will combine them.

I am trying to enjoy going out to eat & eating all kinds of things right now, because if history repeats itself I only have a couple of weeks before I can't stand to smell most any foods and develop lots of food aversions.

Guess I will have to call a doctor & go in for a pee test there soon. We have different insurance this time around and we are at a different clinic & hospital. This time we will be in Faribault. I met my doctor once because of a well-child visit for Isabel. She is a family doctor that specializes in pediatrics and ob/gyn. They had 2 family doctors there with those specialities. I wanted to be able to just have one doctor for both Isabel & myself.

So, that's the scoop. I know no one is reading this right now because no one knows it exists, but it will get read after we disclose we are pregnant.

Let the Good Times Roll....

So, we decided to go off the shot which I have been on for 2 years. We (mainly me) had planned much more when everything was going to happen with our first child. But I was working then in a school and wanted to have her birth coincide with summer break, which it did. Plus, we were told it takes an average of a year off depo to get pregnant with the range usually between 6-18 months. So, we went off 18 months before we wanted to try. Then we were told you never get pregnant the first month you try (although, tell that to my friend April who got pregnant with both her boys the first month of trying), so we planned to start trying and get pregnant the second month.....and that is just how it happened.....

Now, with our second baby, we are going to go with the flow. We don't even know where we are living permanently.....we had hoped to have a job & house in the same state, but so far that hasn't happened and we hope it happens soon. But with knowing it could take a while to get pregnant, we decided to go off depo now and now worry about protecting against pregnancy & trying to plan for a specific birth month and just go with when it happens. I am a SAHM mom now and plan to stay that way for a while, so I don't have a work break I need to plan around. So, if I get pregnant sooner rather than later, it is ok. I would rather not be pregnant over the summer, but whatever happens, happens.

So, you probably won't see another post on here until something happens.

Planning Ahead

So, I don't need this blog right now. There is actually no reason for it. I am not pregnant, we are not trying, and there are no immediate plans to start trying. But there may be another little one in the future and the way things go with the internet - well, this blog url might not be available when I need it. As you notice, it is very similar to DD's blog - well, the title is similar.
