Henry has become quite the character. If he thinks he's not supposed to do something, then he laughs while he does it. Although, he does understand what NO means and will stop doing something when you say it and sometimes starts crying if you say it stearnly. He also seems to be a budding thrill seeker. Jumping & falling are awesome to him.
We had a few days of a nursing strike and so I had to pump & give him a bottle, then he started nursing at bedtime again, and just today he nursed after he woke up and at bedtime. But as a result of all of this and my not preferring to pump often we aren't nursing at naptimes. So, we're only nursing twice a day. I really want him to continue nursing a little longer. Although, as a result of nursing less we have already started to transition to milk.
In the pictures below, he didn't listen too well to NO. He was splashing a lot and laughing hysterically.

Open Gym, SRP, Snack Time & Shades
This was Henry's first time being able to participate in open gym. When we went in the winter/spring he usually just slept in the front carrier while Isabel played. Now he crawls all over the place and I have to be right behind him to make sure he doesn't go over the edge of something. He took a 3 hour nap after this. Tuckered him out!
Check out the new stuff at the park. A new baby swing and a double-seater ride on bumble bee. Actually, the backseat on the bumble bee is big enough that a parent could go on, or even a couple kids. This was Monday and now today, all of this is flooded and under water. Stupid rain. I think we got around 10-12 inches.

SROC Open House
Henry has become so much mre interactive and fun. His interests are very apparent. He loves animals and petting them. He has a hard time not giggling with excitement when he sees an animal anywhere. He also loves playing in the sandbox, or in the case the corn box or soybarn box. If it didn't (or maybe I should rephrase - if the kids didn't) make such a mess I would consider getting corn & soybean to use in a sensory table this winter.
So, needless to say, Henry had a pretty good time at the SROC open house.

Storytime
We are going to try to make it to the weekly storytime at the library in Frbo. I really like their storytime for our family. They do the same opening & closing song each week and read 3 books during the half hour. During the rest of the time they sing songs & do dances & other movement rhymes and a flannel board. It is very interactive & active for the kids.

Nature Fun
I like carrying Henry in the backpack at the Nature Center. It works out nicely. I still push the jogger stroller along, which serves to carry all our stuff and is a refuge for one of the kids if they need it.
Yes, the kids are matching. :) They have 2 matching shirts, both from Polarn O. Pyret (POP, for short). After getting these clothes, I signed up to be a POP Parent. I am supposed to get discounts and potential free items for mentioning that my kids are wearing their clothes. We haven't had them for too long, so I can't speak to the durability, but they seems to be very well constructed and a good fabric.
Isabel loves that she can be "twins" with her brother. This won't last too long, so it's kinda fun to put them in matching tops and POP does have a very good selection of what would be considered gender-neutral tops, so that I can dress them alike just a little bit.
I will keep you informed on how being a POP Parent goes. I haven't seen anything from it yet, but I just started doing it a month ago.

McD's Playland
After naptime we met some friends at Manthey Park for a playdate (see Isabel's blog), then we all decided to go have dinner together at McD's. Henry had a great time crawling up the little stairs and going down the slide. He loves the nuggets here and with 8 teeth already he feeds himself the whole nugget. He doesn't like me breaking up some food these days if he can bite through it and break it off himself. He doesn't shove it all in his mouth at once, he takes off bites.
45 Weeks Old
Henry has been pushing his walk-behind walker all over the place. He cruises along all the furniture. He crawls up the stairs very well. It's just a matter of time before he is walking on his own.
We took these picture at Mineral Springs Park. We met some friends there for an impromtu playdate and picnic lunch. Henry loves to go to the park and swing & slide.

My Little Walker
Here is a short video of Henry pushing his walker. This was today. It sure won't be long before he lets go and walks on his own. It was amazing to watch his figure out how to slow down his walker when he gets off the carpet and onto the hardwood.
Just today I decided I should store away the exercausers since he hasn't used them in the last 2 months. He has a sit in walker too, but I am thinking that will get stored away soon too. He doesn't really need it since he can support himself and walk on his own pushing the other one.
This last week, sister set up her little tent & tunnel and he loves to play in that with her. We recently started crawling through the tunnel at the park and he thinks it's just a blast.
Oh! And he just pushed the tip of an 8th tooth through.

10 Months
Still trying out the new software. Not sure what I think of it. Don't like that they show you a bunch of stuff that you can use, but have to buy (not included).
Anyways, this is his temporary 10 months picture. Skye was at the park taking pictures this day and I asked her to snap a couple of Henry so I wasn't trying so hard to get pictures done by myself. So, while we wait for that picture, this one will do. I took this later in the day when we joined some friends at the beach.

44 Weeks
I am trying out some new scrapbooking software I downloaded. So, we'll see how it works.
Today I took the kids to the library for return/pickup books and also for a playdate. We have access to two wonderful libraries in the towns surrounding us. They both have toys for kids to play with, so it makes a great place to have a playdate. Henry remind me of Isabel at this age, pulling books off the shelves and throwing them on the floor like that's his job.
